My family has a fantastic business opportunity overseas and we’ll be moving to Beijing in early 2012.
I plan on splitting my time between Beijing and Silicon Valley for the next couple of years.
I’m thrilled for this new adventure and cannot imagine a more exciting life situation for an entrepreneur. China and Silicon Valley are reshaping the global economy and I can’t wait to jump in the mix.
While I get Lean Startup Meetup Beijing1 running and learn Mandarin, I will be asking advice from anyone and everyone who has done business in China about my next startup.
So … please … if you’ve done business in China … don’t be shy. I’ve got a ton to learn and need all of the help I can get.
You can reach me on Twitter or kevindewalt ~ [AT] ~ kevindewalt ~ [DOT] ~ com.

Kevin,
DC will really miss you. Thanks for all you’ve done. Don’t be a stranger!
Congrats Kevin and can’t wait to see what you come up with over there.
DC is losing a valuable startup leader. Congrats and good luck!
Kevin,
Congrats! The energy and enthusiasm for entrepreneurship in China is palpable. The message of the Lean Startup methodology is likely to be very well-received. You’re a great messenger to take Lean to the Middle Kingdom.
Let me know if you want to practice some Mandarin. A great resource to learn: http://chinesepod.com/.
I’ll definitely be seeing you in Beijing.
Got this news on DC-Meetup.
Good for you.
Sure Beijing and Silicon Valley are the hottest spot for new tech business opportunity.
